When it comes to teaching, I believe there are three main areas that keep your classroom running smoothly and effectively!
1) Great Lessons
2) Great Classroom Management
3) Great Organization
Organizational strategies can sometimes take years to figure out! I want to share with you one of the most helpful strategies I have for managing art room projects. I teach 26 classes per week, so I need a place to store my student's work from class period to class period. When you have that many classes of work to keep, you need to think vertical in terms of storage! I found an old bread cart in my building, cleaned it up, spray painted it silver and added wood boards as shelving. I covered each board in Contact Paper to match my room decor and voila...I had a new storage unit for all of my students' artwork. Adding teacher labels to the sides of the bread cart make it super quick to locate projects! It takes up very little space in my classroom and I love how easy it is for me to stay organized on a weekly basis.
